Key facts about Fire Sprinklers
Fire sprinklers not only warn occupants of a fire, but they also actuate quickly to control or extinguish the fire, even if no one is present
The heat of the fire activates each sprinkler head individually. Only the sprinkler heads directly affected by the fire actuate.
Sprinklers use much less water than the Fire Service, because they tackle the fire in its earliest stages, therefore minimising fire and water damage to the property and its contents.
Rooms protected by sprinklers can often be re occupied within hours, with the remainder of the property being largely unaffected by smoke damage.
